Parking, Buses & Mandatory Arrival Time
Parking:
Runners will meet at the University Mall in Orem on the north side of the mall to be transported by bus to the Race START. This is the area between the Mall and Costco. Please do not park in the Theater or Costco parking areas. Runners will not be permitted to park at the race start.
Buses & Mandatory Arrival Time:
Buses will begin departing to the race start at 5:00am. You must be present by 6:30am to ensure a spot on a bus. Your Race Bib is your “TICKET” to load a bus. You MUST have your Race Bib.
Buses will provide shuttle transportation from the FINISH back to University Mall.
TIMING, BIBS, IPODS & TIME LIMIT
Timing & Bibs:
This is a chip-timed event. You will be required to wear your Race Number Bib on the front of your body above the waist to ensure accurate timing results. For your safety, your Bib will also serve as your ID during the race. Timing Chips will be attached to the back of your bibs. For this reason, please do not wrinkled or alter your bib as this may destroy this timing chip.
iPods:
USA Track & Field permits the use of an iPod or other personal device during this race; however due to the several switch backs in the beginning of the race and highway crossing, we ask that you refrain from using these devices until you have safely crossed Provo Canyon Rd.
Time Limit:
HALF Runners have 4 hours to complete the course. This will allow runners of all abilities and runners with many varieties of costumes time to complete the course. FULL Runners will have 6:15 to complete the course.
Costume Contest & Pre-race Party
Costume Costest:
We will have a Costume Contest at the race start at 8:00am. If you would like to participate in the Costume Contest please plan on being on one of the first buses to the race start. Trophies will be given to the top three solo costumes and to the top three duo/team costumes.
Pre-race Party:
Music will be provided at the start. Please bring your own food and beverage to the race start. This will not be provided at the start. Please dispose of your trash in the trash cans provided.
Race Etiquette & Bag Check
Race Etiquette:
We ask that you please clean up any personal garbage/trash and not leave any personal items or trash along the course. We ask that you respect the venues and communities that have been helpful in making this race possible.
Bag Check:
You will be permitted to check one bag at the race start and you will be able to leave clothing at HALF Aid Station #2 (left of the Tunnels on Provo Canyon Rd). Any clothing left on the Alpine Loop will be donated to local Homeless Shelters. Please DO NOT leave clothing or trash on the Provo River Pkwy Trail.

From the Salt Lake City International Airport
- Start out going SOUTHEAST on ramp. (2.7 miles)
- Merge onto I-80 E via the exit on the LEFT toward CITY CENTER/OGDEN/PROVO. (3.0 miles)
- Merge onto I-215 S via EXIT 117 toward PROVO. (10.9 miles)
- Merge onto I-15 S via EXIT 12 toward LAS VEGAS. (29.8 miles)
- Merge onto the UT-265/University Pkwy. exit, EXIT 269, (2.3 miles) 575 E University Pkwy is on the LEFT. This is University Mall
